We are always looking for motivated translators, projects and partners to join the Localization Lab community. Getting involved is easy!

Becoming a Translator 

Are you interested in providing privacy and Internet Freedom tools for your community? Do you speak English and another language fluently? Join our community of translators who work to localize Internet Freedom tools by getting a Transifex username at Transifex.com, and send it to us at info@localizationlab.org along with the languages your proficient in, and tell us a bit about yourself-- which tools you are interested it, how you heard about us, why privacy and circumvention tools are important to you. Then join our Google group of translators, developers, those providing technical assistance.

Adding Your Project

If you are working on an open source app, software, or teaching tools on internet privacy you are probably eligible for the localization service and free space on Transifex for your project. Write to us at info@localizationlab.org and tell us about your project, we will contact you within 5 business days to notify you if you are eligible and to learn about what your localization needs are. You can find a full list of the projects in our hub to get an idea of what kind of tools we support with localization services here: www.transifex.com/organization/otf.

Becoming a Partner

Are you part of an organization that shares our passion for localization? Do you want to support the growth of Internet freedom and localization communities near you? We want to hear from you. Contact us at info@localizationlab.org. We have worked with organizations such as Viet Tan, Bytes for All, Tibet Action and many more. Your organization doesn't need to be specific to training in privacy and circumvention tools. We are looking for organizations that have a need for these tools to operate or rely on them to communicate safely, and that they can donate some time for localization.
